Moggerhanger Park

Moggerhanger Park staff are always happy to help our visitors. Please do not hesitate to ask for assistance and information. A wheelchair is available on loan free of charge, subject to availability.

A fully accessible toilet for wheelchair users can be found in the main corridor of the house and in the nearby Exhibition Room.

Hard standing spaces are reserved for visitors with disabilities outside the back of the house and a further space is available outside the Garden Room. Visitors can drive up the Filbert Walk to the Garden room.

Visually and hearing impaired visitors can be assisted by their guide and hearing dogs in the house. Moggerhanger Park welcomes dogs on a lead in the grounds. Water bowls are available in the courtyard.

The House & Entrance

The house is accessible for the majority of visitors via the main front door where there is a ramp. Visitors should be aware that the main drive way is gravelled and it may be too difficult to manoeuvre a wheelchair on this surface, therefore, we recommend parking at the back of the house where the surface is flat, accessibility is through the Old Kitchen approximately 7 meters from the car parking spaces.

Once inside, the ground floor is fully accessible, there is a lift to the first floor which a member of staff will be happy to assist you with. The second floor rooms are not accessible to wheelchair users.

Moggerhanger Park has two bedrooms fully accessible for wheelchair users and further two ground floor bedrooms.

Garden Wood

This is a delightful woodland walk along a path of bark chippings. A circular walk through the woodlands of about ¾ mile in length.
