WOODLAND WALK

The Garden Wood has lots of wildlife and beautiful flowers (snowdrops, bluebells etc). Still today you can enjoy the snowdrops (in February), originally planted by Humphry Repton in Garden Wood. The walk is a circular route taking you through the wood, into the Orchard area where the Garden Room Cafe is and either back down the Walled Garden path or onto the Lawn at the rear of the house, ending back at the car park.

Children's Play Area

Situated on the edge of the newly planted orchard outside the Garden Rooms Cafe the playground includes two pieces of play equipment designed for 1 to 3/4 years old, an organically shaped shelter with play space underneath: an organic ‘cruck’ shaped swing frame to be made from traditionally jointed green oak with one toddler cradle seat and a slide.

Set in the coppiced area close to the woodland walk the playground is intended for 4 to 12 year olds.
